Mr Jeanes
Art Teacher
Mr Jeanes teaches across the school from Nursery to Year 6.
Before Mr Jeanes became an art teacher at Staple Hill Primary School, he had different jobs as an illustrator/artist. He worked for some large companies like Disney, Hallmark, Hasbro, and The Jim Henson Company. While working for those companies, he painted famous characters like My Little Pony, Care Bears, Polly Pocket, Postman Pat, Forever Friends, The Muppets, Disney Princesses, and Winnie the Pooh.
Mr Jeanes then changed jobs and followed his Gran and his Dad (who were both teachers) into teaching.
In his free time, Mr Jeanes paints his own paintings and writes articles for an art magazine. He is currently collecting enough work to have his own exhibitions.
Arts Week
During Arts Week in the 2024–2025 school year, we embraced the theme of Black History Month and celebrated the rich diversity within our school and community. Throughout the week, children across all year groups created beautiful, personalised pieces inspired by a wide range of cultures-many of which are represented within our school. Each artwork was a unique reflection of the children’s individuality, capturing their identities, experiences, and personalities. This special week was not only a celebration of creativity but also an opportunity for us to honour our differences and express appreciation for the vibrant tapestry of cultures that make our school community so special.
